Unthinkable Attack on the Capitol

Time to pick sides.

I don’t usually comment here on political events, or events that are not directly related to our business.

As a Company, we are largely impartial, unbiased and unprejudiced.

However, there are rare times when one has to choose sides and speak up. This is such a time.

I am appalled by what happened at the Capitol last week. Not since the British burned it down in 1814 has this central symbol of the American democracy been so violated. An act incited at the highest level of government. Undertaken by people who do not seem to share any of the core democratic values that underpin our society. These actions will reverberate for years to come, here and elsewhere in the world.

Unthinkable, and unacceptable.

I hope those of us - me included - who condemn these actions will stand together and make our voices heard in such a way that this will never happen again. Those responsible for the incitement and those who committed crimes on the Capitol grounds need to be held responsible in the strongest terms. There would have been nothing wrong with a peaceful protest: one of the beautiful things about the American democracy is that every voice has a right to be heard. But this went to far, and is unforgivable.

NegaWatt has never knowingly conducted business with any person or entity involved in these criminal activities, who approves of them, or with the Trump Organization. And we never will.

I would rather go out of business.
