NegaWatt's Company Blog
Expanding our services
What is on Marc's mind? These past few weeks: several exciting learning opportunities.
A week or so ago a prospective client called and asked whether we can provide BIFMA level certification. I had to humbly admit that I had never heard of it. After spending some quality time on the internet, I realized this is a renowned standard for sustainable furniture products. Interesting! And really quite down our alley, because it is a point-based system that borrows from LEED. Who knew. I am grateful they pointed this out to me, and am very much hoping that our proposal will turn into a project. I am confident that we'll get it right the first time.
I am also happy to report that we have successfully completed an internet research project regarding the availability of financing for certain climate change-combating measures in Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey. What a mouthful (and that's just the summary ;-) Our client for this project was a consulting firm in Germany, and the topic was quite unrelated to things we had worked on in the past. I was once again very pleased to see how easily NegaWatt could adapt to the challenge of a new subject matter, even with the added challenge of the client not being local. Good thing we are fluent in German and French (brag, brag).
